Refund Policy

At Serenity Surgery & Wellness (The Practice), we strive to provide high-quality medical care and excellent customer service to our patients. We understand that there may be situations where a patient may need to request a refund. Below is our refund policy:



  1. In-office Visits and Televisits: Patients are required to pay for their appointment at the time of scheduling. If a patient has paid for an in-office visit or televisit but is unable to keep the appointment, customers are required to provide at least 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel the appointment. You must call the office during business hours and speak to a staff member to inform them about the change. Patients are entitled to receive a refund for their in-office visit or televisit payment, minus the payment processing fees.

  2. Procedures: If a patient has paid for a procedure and needs to cancel, they must provide at least five (5) business days notice to avoid non-refundable fees (e.g. materials that cannot be restocked). Patients are entitled to receive a refund for a procedure minus the non-refundable fees and processing fees.

  3. Other Products: If a patient has paid for a product or service that is not an in-office visit, not a televisit, and not a medical procedure, they are not eligible for a refund. If a refund for "Other Products" is applicable, it will exclude non-refundable fees and processing fees.

  4. Wire Transfer, Automated Clearing House (ACH), and Credit Card Payments: If a patient has paid for a service different form “In-office Visits” or “Televisits” via wire transfer, ACH, or credit card, and if the patient is eligible for a refund, a refund request must be made a minimum of five (5) business days prior to the service date to avoid non-refundable fees. Patients are responsible for the processing fees that third parties will impose for issuing a refund.

  5. Processing Time: The Practice will make reasonable efforts to process your refund request expeditiously. In all cases, refund requests will be processed within ten (10) business days of receiving the request (refer to 'Refund Request').

  6. Non-refundable Fees and Processing Fees: All payments submitted electronically to and from Serenity Surgery & Wellness are subject to processing fees paid to the institutions facilitating the transactions. These fees are non-refundable. Payment processors, such as credit card companies, banks, or financing institutions, may not be able to refund their processing fees, resulting in non-refundable fees. In addition, certain procedures may require the purchase of disposable materials that cannot be restocked, which may also result in non-refundable fees.

  7. No Cancellation Fees: We want to assure you that we do not penalize patients for canceling appointments or procedures. We strive to provide flexible rescheduling options without additional charges if possible.

  9. Patient’s Responsibility: Patients are responsible for any processing fees that may result from issuing a refund. This includes transaction fees charged by payment processors, such as credit card companies, banks, or financing institutions. However, we want to assure our patients that The Practice does not impose additional cancellation fees for appointments or procedures.

  10. Payments: If you are eligible for a refund and paid with a credit card, your payment will be refunded to the credit card you used. If you paid via cashier’s check, wire transfer, or automated clearing house (ACH), The Practice will issue a check by mail. If the payment for the service was made by a third party on your behalf, such as a financing institution, the Practice will refund the payment to the third party.
